Bandits arrested with police rifles paraded in Ogun

The
Ogun State Police Command on Monday paraded 13 bandits who were arrested by operatives of the command at various locations within Ogun State at the command's headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali while parading the suspects said the command has been so keen to checkmate excesses of bandits including cultists, car snatchers, truck hijackers, armed robbers, land grabbers etc.

Some
of the suspects who were arrested for being in the possession of 2 AK 47 rifles, a pump action gun, ammunition and some charms, had attacked 2 Police Mobile Force personnel in Ikorodu in October 2013 and took away the police rifles, having injured the policemen.  The suspects are Sulaiman Lekuti, 35, aka "Epe Sule", Semiu Alaka, 39 ,aka "Ese Sobo", Azeez Gbolahan, 45, aka "Eniba", and Teslim Adetunji, 43.
Other suspects paraded included Razak Ogundairo,, 25, Idowu Tijani, 45 and Raimi Ogunkunle, 25. 
The
CP pointed out that they are confirmed members of Eiye Confraternity who were arrested in connection with many killings in ijoko Ota, Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area, Ogun State.  They have also confessed to belong to some armed robbery gangs that had killed more than 5 people before their arrest.
CP Ali assured the general public that the command will not tolerate any criminal act or hooliganism in Ogun State.  He reiterated the command's commitment to continue waging war against cultists and land grabbers which form basis for other criminal acts in the state.
He also promised that the suspects will soon appear in court for prosecution.
