Tribunal Sacks Governor Ishaku, Declares Aisha Alhassan Winner of Taraba Poll

The Taraba State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has sacked Governor Darius Ishaku and declared Senator Aisha Alhassan of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the governorship election in the state.

Justice Musa Abbakar, he Chairman of the tribunal ruled that Aisha Alhassan should be returned as the validly elected Governor of Taraba State. 
Alhassan, a Minister designate had gone to the Tribunal to challenge Ishaku's victory at the April 11 polls.
While Ishaku is expected to approach the appellate court to challenge the Tribunal's verdict, Alhassan seems to have taken a step closer to becoming Nigeria's first female governor.
