Scores killed as explosions hit Kano Phone Market

Scores were feared dead in Kano, following Wednesday's twin blasts inside the GSM market, Nassarawa GRA.

Witnesses confirmed that the first explosion was from an Improvised Explosive Device which was planted close to the generator serving the market, while the second bomb went off at the heart of the market.

The blasts went off during the late afternoon prayers causing pandemonium within the vicinity.
The Kano attack is coming less than 24 hours after explosions rocked a crowded market in Jimeta, Adamawa State, killing more than 30 people.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by the Boko Haram sect.
