The General Overseer
of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A Adeboye, on Monday
played host to the Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali
and his entourage who went to familiarise with the man of God and discuss germane security issues in and around the Redemption Camp which hosts
more than a million worshippers on a daily basis.
The Commissioner of
Police, was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Department
of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, DCP Shina Olukolu, SP Olaiya
Martins, Divisional Police officers Redeemed Division, SP Jamiu Salabiu,
Commander, Quick Response Squad, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, PPRO Ogun and
others.
The Commissioner of Police Ogun State appreciated the
General Overseer of the RCCG for his support to the police command particularly
for the procurement of an Armoured Personnel Carrier, patrol vans and
building of office and residential accommodations for police personnel
on duty within and around the camp.
CP Abdulmajid Ali also seized the opportunity of the meeting to urge other well - meaning
individuals to emulate the General Overseer of RCCG in assisting the
police command in all ramifications, to enhance the effective discharge of its duties.
After the discussion,
the man of God showered prayers on the Commissioner of Police and his
entourage and the command in general for peace and absolute security in
Ogun state and Nigeria at large.
