Family of Paris Attacker Says He’s Not Religious, ‘Never Went to the Mosque’ & Was a Petty Criminal

Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the alleged terror boss of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, was not a religious person and never went to the mosque, according to his family.
His family did not have any kind words to speak about him, even prior to last week’s attacks. They said that he lived a disturbed childhood that turned into a life of crime and that he did not fit the stereotypical profile of a jihadist.
They believed that his attraction to ISIS had nothing to do with religion, but instead a search for violence and power.
Earlier this year, Abaaoud’s sister Yasmina told the New York Times that “He did not even go to the mosque.”
Abaaoud can be seen in many photos holding a Quran, and he made statements where he spoke from the position of a Muslim, but prior to his involvement in ISIS he had no interest in religion.
It was reported on Wednesday, that Abdelhamid Abaaoud was killed in a recent Paris police raid.

French police fired five thousand bullets during a ferocious seven-hour kill or capture operation in which the mastermind of the Paris attacks is believed to have been shot dead. A dawn raid on an apartment block in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis was so violent that police must wait for the results of DNA tests to identify the remains of two terrorists who were killed, but the Washington Post claims two intelligence sources have confirmed that one of the dead is Abdelhamid Abaaoud.
Calling Abaaoud a “mastermind” is akin to calling drone strikes “surgical.” These people acquired a bunch of guns and bombs and shot into crowds of people and then blew themselves up. There is nothing complex or skillful about their actions. It was mass murder only. No scientific approach nor high-level intellect was at play here, only psychosis and manipulation.
The issues unfolding in the Middle East have absolutely nothing to do with religion or ethnic conflict but are politically and economically charged issues that have been propagated by western imperialism. Antagonizers and so-called “leaders” on both sides of the conflict use nationalism and racism as a tool to manipulate their people into the battlefield, but that is not the reality of the situation.
This is not just relevant in war either, but in all walks of life people use things like religion or patriotism or some type of philosophy as a cover for their own selfish motives. Likewise, governments and smaller militant groups are known to use religion as a textbook propaganda device, by hijacking people’s sacred beliefs and using them as tools of manipulation. This is all true, but it applies to Christians just as much as it does to Muslims, and it applies to many atheists who can be fundamentalists in their own way as well.
