Okene Locked Down as Army Battles Boko Haram!

Okene, a major town in Kogi State, was on Tuesday locked down as men of the Nigerian Army engaged armed men believed to be members of the Boko Haram terrorist group in a gun battle.
Residents could not go out of their houses as of the time of filing this report as shooting has been reported in many parts of the town.

The terrorist group is believed to still have a thriving cell in the state. Though efforts have been made in the past to quash the group but reports reaching The Anchor Online reveal that members seem to have diffused into the populace.
