OAU Student Dies after Falling Off Tall Building

Tragedy struck on Tuesday night on the campus of the famous Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. Cromwall Nwwosuu Tobi, a third year student of Sociology and Anthropology died at the University Teaching Hospital Complex following a fall from the top of one of the buildings in the Faculty of Agriculture.

A student who spoke on the condition of anonymity disclosed that Cromwell, deferred his admission in his second year and had formed a habit of reading well in order to be able to cope with his studies.

The student also disclosed that 'Cromwell went to see some friends at the Faculty of Agrric, when he fell from the topmost floor last month. He was rushed to the General Hospital were he had been receiving treatment for over a month, until he gave up the ghost last night".


The Students Affairs division has confirmed his death while an official press release from the University was being expected as of the time of filing this report. Checks however revealed that his parents and relatives have been contacted.
