The
Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge, Zone 2 Command,
Lagos, AIG Mbu Joseph on Monday commended the Commissioner of Police
Ogun state CP Abdulmajid Ali for his positive changes he has
injected in the command and his efforts towards reduction in crime rate
since his assumption of duty in Ogun State.
AIG
Mbu Joseph made this assertion while decorating the eleven newly
promoted Chief Superintendents of Police in Eleweran, Abeokuta, Ogun
State.
The
Police Boss,who was around at the police headquarters Eleweran Abeokuta
for the on going promotion screening exercise for the graduate police
personnel in Ogun Command,charged the eleven promoted officers to be
disciplined,committed,efficient and focused.
AIG
Mbu encouraged them to take after respected senior officers who
maintain decency,credibility and reputation with legacies in their
chosen police career,and imbibe the spirit of leaving legacies anywhere
they work which will speak volume about them.
Other
senior officers who were present at the small decoration ceremony
included the Commissioner of Police CP Abdulmajid Ali, Deputy
Commissioner of Police in charge, Department of Finance and
Administration, DCP Alex Opara, DCP Shina Olukolu, Deputy Commissioner of
Police in charge, Department of Criminal Investigation and
Intelligence, DCP Bello Makwachi,Deputy Commission of Police in charge
Department of Operations etc.
The Police
Boss,who was assisted by the Commissioner of Police Ogun State, later
decorated the eleven newly promoted officers in the office of the Commissioner of Police around noon.
While
appreciating the AIG,CP Abdulmajid Ali,applauded the AIG for his
professionalism and dignity. He also advised the officers to adhere
strictly to the pieces of advice rendered by AIG Mbu, pointing out that promotion is not
just a blessing, but a challenge to work harder.
