20 Killed As Terrorists Hit LG Verification Centre in Kaduna

No fewer than 20 people were killed on Tuesday morning when a bomb exploded at the headquarters of the Sabon Gari Local Government in Zaria, Kaduna State. The victims were mostly Local Government workers who had gone to take part in the mandatory verification exercise.
Reacting via his Twitter handle, Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai said "I am sad that a terrorist bomb attack just killed 20 people in Sabon Gari, Zaria. May the souls of our innocent departed rest in peace. Amen."
The verification exercise was put together by the state government in order to tackle corruption, especially the issue of ghost workers.

Terrorist attacks appear to have become more intensified over the last few weeks while Nigerians continue to wait for the Federal Government to take a decisive step and renew the onslaught against the Boko Haram group which seems to have regained more confidence since the advent of the Buhari administration.
