Oyo Treasury Director, Musa Olawoye Bags OMSA Recognition Award

As part of the 14th Annual Ramadan Lecture as well as efforts and contributions towards the development and propagation of Islam, the Old Muslim Students’ Association (OMSA), Anglican Commercial Grammar School, Orita-Mefa, Ibadan has honoured Alhaji Musa Olawoye with a Recognition Award. The ceremony was held at the Western Hall, Oyo State House of Assembly Complex, Secretariat, Ibadan. The awardee, a Chartered Accountant and product of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, was born in Kobomoje area of Ibadan. He is presently the Director of Treasury, office of the Accountant-General, Oyo-State Secretariat, Ibadan. He was a former Coordinator for Federal Development Partners in
Nigeria, an organization partnering with communities for economic development before he ventured into Oyo State Civil Service. In his acceptance speech, shortly after the presentation of the award, Alhaji Musa Olawoye gave glory to Almighty Allah for His mercy and also thanked the organizers of the programme for their efforts towards the development of Islam. According to him, “this award is recognition of what we have done, what we are expected to do now and what is expected of us in the future. It a symbol of our little contributions into Al-Islam, We just hope that it is going to be an impetus to the greater future.” Alhaji Olawoye, therefore, appealed to all Muslims in the world to use this special period of Rammadan to seek for forgiveness, blessing and other good things from Almighty Allah.
