Flying Eagles Crush Korea DPR

Nigeria's U-20 national soccer team, the Flying Eagles on Thursday gave a good showing that saw them defeating their counterparts from Korea Democratic Peoples'; Republic by 4 goals to nil.
Four second half goals gave the Eagles a hope of qualifying for the Round of 16, having lost 4-2 to Brazil in the first match.
Though some errors could still be noticed in the Nigerian team, they approached the game with a sense of seriousness that saw the captain's shot hitting the bar in the first half while the Korean goalkeeper
was kept busy. The Koreans were largely defensive though they made several incursions into the Nigerian area.

3 minutes after the second half resumed, Saviour Godwin's header was right on target, beating the Korean keeper who came charging out to parry a cross from the right flank. The tally was increased in the 51st minute when a nice combination of passes between Taiwo Awoniyi and Saviour Godwin rattled the erring Korean defence, enabling Godwin to slot in Nigeria's second goal.
Coach Garba Manu pulled out Godwin for Musa Yahaya who helped  in piling more pressure on the Eagles' opponents. The Eagles took the game be the reach of the Koreans in the 71st minute when Kingsley Sokari's wonderful strike from 25 yards beat thegoalkeeper  for Nigeria's third goal. The fourth was scored 10 minutes later when Awoniyi and Success Isaac who replaced  Bubalwa confused the Koreans with a "one-two" pass from which Success slotted home.
