The embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu has resigned his position.
The Anchor Online gathered that Alhaji Mu'azu turned in his resignation on Wednesday.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Jalo confirmed the development, though he did not give details.
The Chairman reportedly gave health reasons for his decision, though there had been several calls for his re3signation following his party's poor showing at the last g
eneral elections. Mu'azu, the former Governor of Bauchi State was hailed as the 'Game Changer" when he assumed duties as the party's chairman.
The tide however turned after the election with Governors calling for his resignation, with some of them accusing him of selling out to the All Progressives Congress.
