Nigeria Maintains 45th Position on FIFA Ranking

Nigeria's Super Eagles retained the 45th position on the FIFA ranking released by the World Football Governing body on Thursday.
The Super Eagles were on the same position in the last ranking released in April.
The Nigerian team apparently paid for being inactive during the period that would have allowed it move up the ladder.

Germany retained the top position, followed by Argentina in second place and Belgium in the third position. The top 17 positions on the chart remained as they were in April.
Algeria's Desert Warriors are ranked as Africa’s best and 20th in the world.
The Elephants of Ivory Coast, Black Stars of Ghana, Lions of Senegal, Syli Nationale of Guinea as well as the national teams of Tunisia and Cape Verde are ahead of Nigeria's Eagles.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 4 June 2015.
