David Mark Manipulated Results, Opponent Alleges!

The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Benue South District, Comrade Daniel Onjeh has cried foul over the results of the election in the district. As results trickled in after the polls, news filtered ion that the President of the Senate, David Bonaventure Mark had been defeated.

Less than 24 hours after however, reports came in that Senator David Mark was returned as re-elected.

Mark’s main opponent, Onjeh took to Twitter on Monday to allege that Mark was actually defeated.

Before the results were announced, Onjeh, a former President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS tweeted from his handle “The much awaited #RevolutionInNigeria will start from Benue South! David Mark who cried foul 2 nights ago, is said to leading me now.”

He also tweeted “Mark couldn't stand the shame of my defeating him, thus, he's desperately using huge sums to influence votes and be declared any how. About 48 hrs after election, results of just a senatorial district is yet to be declared, Mark altering and manufacturing result!

Enough of David Mark's manipulations and self-imposition on the ppl of Benue South! The ppl voted massively for Change and it must stand!

#Buhari & I swept #BenueSouth, & the final results must reflect as such! Any result collated must tally with Card Readers' records!

Let all world caution #DavidMark & INEC to respect the popular will of the people so expressed at the ballot & not to play with fire!

There was no election in most Wards of #AgatuLG, where there was, my Ward Agents were arrested & detained for no just cause!

My #Agatu LG Collation Agent, Elder Echoda, was whisked away to unknown destination on the election day, when his presence was most crucial.

#CardReaders were ignored completely in #AgatuLG, and the hinterlands of the rest 8 LGs; PDP and accredited manually and thumb printed!

Mark & #INEC claimed over 13K voters were accredited & voted in #AgatuLG, a town in crisis, with IDPs, other stable LGs didn't record this”.

He went on to tweet that “Duplicate results from the Polling Units with us reads different from what #INEC & #DavidMark are reeling off at the Collation Center. #DavidMark a coupist, fingered in the annulment of June 12, yet the highest beneficiary of Democracy, & still subverting democracy!

Game over for #DavidMark, the Idoma Golaith! He can manipulate results, but we have our facts, We'll pursue justice until he leaves! #DavidMark saw my victory coming, 1st he openly made mouth watering offer to have me compromise, I declined, the he resorted to threat!

One man wants to rule my people for 20 years! Mark constituted himself an Oligarch; tell him it won't work this time!
