Shekau Releases New Video, Promises to Disrupt Elections

The leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau has appeared in yet another video, vowing to disrupt the elections slated for March 28 and April 11.
Issuing his threats in Hausa language, Shekau said even if all his men were killed, the elections would still not hold. In the video which was released on Tuesday, Shekau also took time to counter claims by military forces
that they repelled insurgents from Gombe State. Shekau said his men overran the military posts and freed their comrades who were impr4isoned in the state.

“This election will not be held even if we are dead. Even if we are not alive Allah will never allow you to do it", Shekau said.
The general elections were postponed after the military stated that they would not be able to guarantee security unless the polls were postponed by a number of weeks to enable them tackle the issue of insurgency in Nigeria’s North Eastern region.
