Ogun Police Boss Reads Riot Act to Officers





The new Police Commissioner in Ogun State,CP Valentine Ntomchukwu,has read out riot act to officers and men of the command on his commitment to have effective policing of the state.

While addressing officers and men who gathered at the Police officers Mess Ibara GRA, Abeokuta on Monday, CP Ntomchukwu made it known that he will not tolerate any act of indiscipline, incivility, corrupt practices,extortion,improper dressing and any act capable of dragging the image of the Police Force in the mud. He emphasized on decency,dedication and principles of modern policing in line with the philosophy of the Inspector General of Police,Suleiman Abba,in the on going reform agenda in the Nigeria Police.



He encouraged the officers and men to collaborate with all stakeholders in various communities and other security agencies to have robust intelligence-driven and community-based policing in Ogun State.

The Commissioner of Police reiterated his commitment to defend his personnel from any molestation,oppression and cheat in the course of discharging their legitimate and statutory duties,but frowns at any inappropriate and unprofessional behaviors at all levels amongst the police personnel.

He also directed officers and men of the command to be up and doing in discharging their duties,and be ready to be active in forth coming general,elections as much is expected from the police. CP Ntomchukwu assured them of series of workshops on election duties and other relevant police duties in order to be seasoned,efficient and productive.
