Former Super Eagles Keeper, Willy Agbonavbare Dies

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare has died. He passed on on Tuesday after battling cancer.
Agbonavbare was superb in the 1980s when clubs like New Nigerian Bank and Bendel Insurance, both of Benin were hot in the Nigerian League.

His national team career spanned between 1984 and 1994. By the 1990s, he became second choice when in-form Peter Rufai held the number one position.
Sadly the ex-international passed on in a Spanish hospital days after his former club, Rayo Vallecano reportedly raised funds for his treatment. He was 48.
