PDP Caucus Removes Ekiti Speaker!

Reports from Ekiti State indicate that the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon Adewale Omirin might have been removed by the 7 PDP members in the House.
The Anchor gathered that the lawmakers took the action in response to calls by protesters who trooped to the assembly complex to demand Omirin's removal over what was termed "abandonment of his duties."

As of Thursday morning, no member of the All Progressives Congress was at the complex. Only members of the PDP were on hand to receive the representatives of the market women in Ekiti who came to show their solidarity to the PDP members in the House.
Sources within the PDP accused Omirin of working against the progress of Ekiti. It was also alleged that while people in Ekiti were calling for his removal, he was in Lagos plotting to impeach the Governor.
Hon Dele Olugbemi who was appointed as Protem Speaker days ago was appointed as Omirin's replacement during the closed door session.
Omirin and Olugbemi have traded accusations over the past few days. Omirin described the 7 lawmakers that defected to the PDP as the "money mongers" in the House. He disclosed that when he held a meeting with them and told them that they would sit the following day to approve the Governor's request to borrow N 2 billion from the CBN, they told him to bargain for a percentage.
Olugbemi however denied the allegation saying he was never in appropriation so he could never have been a part of that arrangement. He also alleged that "the first time Omirin went to see the Governor, he was given 5.2, the second time too he got 5.2".
