Ogun Police Boss Decorates Newly Promoted Officers

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Ikemefuna Okoye on Monday decorated some of the newly promoted police personnel in the Command at his Eleweran office in Abeokuta.

The event which was witnessed by the Command's 2 IC, DCP Haliru Gwandu, the Chief Superintendent of Police in Department of Finance and Administration CSP Rose Chollom and the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi,was done at the instance of the Commissioner of Police to appreciate the good efforts of the Inspector General of Police IGP Suleiman Abba towards reforming the police particularly in the area of robust welfare package for police workforce.

More than 300 personnel in the command were affected in the promotion exercise including constables,corporals and sergeants.Those who were decorated by the Commissioner of Police included W/Inspector Bose Okunade,attached to the department of Finance and Administration, Sergeant Mathew Ochepo,orderly to the Commissioner,W/Sergeant Adenike of Secret Office, Corporal Rotimi Omolade, driver attached to the Police PRO and many others.

While addressing the newly promoted officers, CP Okoye charged them to be more responsible and dedicated to duty with their new ranks and move with the current paradigm shift in the police in line with the policies and ideological perspectives of the Inspector General of police.

The police boss then encouraged other personnel to work hard and shun any act capable of depriving them their promotion in the police for its a disciplined organization that will not condone any inappropriate behaviors.
