Obasanjo Fires Again, Says "Jonathan Deliberately Does Evil"

Days after the Presidency replied his criticism of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has fired another salvo, in which he accused President Jonathan of condoning evil.
While speaking at the launching of  two books, The Story of My Two Worlds (an autobiography) and A Life of Service and Grace: Shared Perspectives (a collection of essays) in honour of Justice Mustapha Akanbi, the pioneer chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, Obasanjo advised the president not to encourage "verbal violence which may not always hurt but has ways of degenerating into physical violence". He also pointed out that democracy should be managed "without resorting to brute force and dictatorial tendencies."

Taking a swipe at the president over his recent actions, Chief Obasanjo said "as a leader, you must not deliberately do evil or condone evil. You should know that you will one day give account to God, you may cover up here, but before God, there is no cover up."
While speaking at the event where he was Chairman, Obasanjo said the "economy is in doldrums, if not in reverse."
At the weekend, Obasanjo had rated the Jonathan administration as being below average, which drew a response from the presidency. Dr. Doyin Okupe, the President's Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs described Obasanjo's rating as miles away from the facts on the ground.
