Many Students Killed in Yobe as Bomb Explodes on Assembly Ground

Few days after a bomb exploded in a bank in Bauchi State, killing almost 20 people, the wave of explosions on Monday moved to Potiskum, Yobe State where a bomb exploded as students of the Government Science Secondary School gathered for the morning assembly.

Though the actual number of those who died could not be readily ascertained, residents of Potiskum have disclosed that many students were killed in the incident.
The Boko Haram terrorist group is believed to be behind the explosion which was triggered off by a suicide bomber.
