Obasanjo's Media Aide, Remi Oyo Dies

Oluremi Oyo, a veteran journalist and former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria has died. She died on Wednesday in London, family sources have disclosed.

Mrs. Oyo, who served as the Special Assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo was 62. She was the President of the Guild of Editors and she also worked with the International Press Service.
Though the source did not disclosed the cause of death, the deceased had a running battle with an ailment.

Back in April, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI bestowed the honour of Papal Dame of the order St. Gregory the Great on her.
She is survived by her husband and children.
