How Fuel Tanker Threw Ibadan Up In Flames, Killing 50

No fewer than 50 people were feared to have died as a result of a fire ignited by spillage from a fuel tanker near the Molete bridge in Ibadan.
The Anchor gathered that the fully loaded tanker fell on its side and spilled its contents on Saturday evening and as the fuel flowed, a nearby fire was ignited causing the tanker to explode.

Scores of people were caught in the inferno while some cars were totally destroyed by the fire.

For decades, Molete has been a very busy part of Ibadan. It houses a market, a garage and it is one of the parts of Ibadan from which almost any part of the city could be accessed.
