Duncan, America's First Ebola Patient Dies



Thomas Eric Duncan, the first patient to be diagnosed with Ebola on American soil has died.
Duncan, who arrived Texas on September 12 died on Wednesday morning. He had travelled to the United States from Liberia, his homeland where he contracted the virus.

The hospital where he was admitted issued a statement that “he fought courageously in the battle.”
Duncan was hospitalized 7 days ago and he went into coma a few days after.
The United States has ordered that passengers should be screened for Ebola at the top 5 airports including those in New York, Atlanta and Dallas.
The Ebola Virus Disease has killed more than 3, 000 people in West Africa.
