Bomb Blast Kills 5 in Bauchi Park

The Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the death of 5 people in a bomb explosion that occurred in a motor park in Azare, Bauchi State.
A statement signed by DSP Haruna Mohammed, the PRO of the command indicated that about 12 other people sustained varying degrees of injuries.
It was contained in the statement that explosives, believed to have been planted in the park detonated around 9.45 pm on Wednesday. While those who were injured were taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Azare, the scene of the blast has been cordoned off.
Mohammed also stated that the command has commenced investigation into the incident.
