Lagos Changes Gear, Postpones Schools' Resumption

The Lagos State Government on Sunday reversed a directive it issued earlier that schools in the state should resume for the 2014/2015 academic session on Monday, 22nd September, 2014.

The Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola disclosed this during a meeting with stakeholders in the education sector, including principals, vice principals and headteachers of secondary and primary schools across the state.
As stated by the Governor, schools in Lagos State will now resume on October 8, 2014.
It will be recalled that less than 48 hours ago, Oyo State announced that schools in the state would resume on October 6 while Rivers State fixed October 8 for schools' resumption.
