Kidnapped Chibok Girls Released!

After more than five months in captivity, a yet to be ascertained number of the girls abducted from the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok by the Boko Haram terrorist group have been released.
Officials have confirmed that two Toyota Hiace buses loaded with the girls were driven into the Maimalari Barracks in Maiduguri on Tuesday evening.

The spokesman of the Defence Headquarters, General Chris Olukolade has also confirmed the development.
He said the exercise was still ongoing and that an appropriate statement would be made soon.
There had been speculations that the some organizations had entered into negotiations with the terrorists in order to get the girls released. 219 were said to have been penciled for release in the deal which may also see the government releasing some detained members of the Boko Haram group.
