Nigeria Police Force & The Need For Stomach Infrastructure

The phrase "stomach infrastructure" has sure come to stay in Nigerian politics; no thanks to the ingenuity of ambidextrous politicians who were able to detect what the electorate needs per time.
Wouldn't it amount to self deception to say stomach infrastructure is not part of the life of every Nigerian? Same for our public officers and upholders of the law. It is already an open secret tha
t law enforcers now openly demand "something" when you run afoul of the law. For decades, Nigerians have continued to pray for a corruption-free police organization.
Meanwhile, the new leadership of the Nigeria Police Force seems to be particular about the welfare of officers and men; a few days ago, the Acting Inspector-General, Suleiman Abba paid an unscheduled visit to the Commissioners' Quarters in Area 11, Garki and was displeased with what he saw. The IG ordered the immediate rehabilitation of the road leading to the quarters. The Commissioners will also have more regular power as the quarters will have new generating sets and other things.
On Friday, the IG flagged off the distribution of share certificates of the Nigeria Police Force Mortgage Bank Plc.
With these signs of better days ahead for officers and men, we humbly ask the IG not to forget stomach infrastructure o... as a lot of things still need to be addressed. While the mortgage gesture will be highly appreciated, pay rise would not be a bad idea, especially for the junior and middle cadres.
It also a fact that corruption still needs to be stamped out, ethics of policing still need to be adhered to in some places and also, there is the need for uniformity in the area of dressing. Many Nigerians don't know what to say when asked about the colour of the uniform of the NPF. Blue, black, blue-black or camouflage
